How Butter Haus Came to Be.

Butter Haus began with a shared dream, to make celebrating life’s moments feel easy, beautiful, and full of joy.

We each came from different backgrounds and experiences, but quickly realised we brought something unique to the table. Our skills, perspectives, and passions complemented one another and together, we could create something truly special.

We knew we could support each other in different ways, and help get more amazing cakes into the hands of people celebrating all kinds of moments.

As busy mums and women who’ve been through weddings, engagements, milestones, and everyday chaos, we understand how important these occasions are and how differently they matter to everyone. For some, it’s about quality. For others, it’s the flavour, the design, the professionalism, or simply the ease of it all.

Butter Haus was born from the idea that you shouldn’t have to choose. You can have it all - cakes that look beautiful, taste incredible, and make life’s special moments effortless.

Today, we work from our purpose-built cake studio, designed to give every creation the attention it deserves. We’re proudly registered with our local council and hold full public liability insurance, ensuring every Butter Haus cake is crafted in a safe, professional, and trusted environment.

Colleen

Colleen brings the foundation of flavour and craft to Butter Haus. With over 25 years experience as a qualified chef, she has a deep understanding of technique, balance and quality, and approaches every cake with a strong focus on how it will taste as well as how it will look.

As a busy mum herself, Colleen understands the importance of getting things right the first time. She takes pride in creating cakes that feel considered, consistent and made with care, so clients can trust that their celebration is in experienced hands.

Michelle

Michelle brings creativity, structure and a strong sense of professionalism to Butter Haus. With a background in roles that required precision, organisation and high standards, she has a natural ability to oversee processes and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Michelle is passionate about creating a calm, reliable experience for clients. She understands how overwhelming planning an event can be and values clear communication, thoughtful planning and delivering exactly what has been promised. She believes that when the process feels calm, the celebration can be fully enjoyed.

Kirstie

Kirstie is the steady support behind Butter Haus. With a background in teaching, she has a patient, people-focused approach and a genuine love for helping others feel supported and informed throughout the process.

She thrives in admin and organisation, bringing structure, clarity and consistency to the business. From managing details to keeping everything on track, Kirstie helps ensure that clients feel looked after from their first enquiry through to collection day.
